Great laptop for home use
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this laptop for use at home(financial tracking, homework report preparation, and entertainment). It fills all those roles very well. It has all the features I was looking for, along with some I hadn’t thought of but really enjoy.
Great PC.

This PC is great! Quick start up, wakes up from sleep mode in a flash, and does almost everything I have asked it to do and then some. An excellent buy for the cost!
First Laptop
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
There is only one word to describe this laptop, excellent. There is only one small problem fingerprints everywhere, you have to be constantly cleaning it, but that has nothing to do with the performance of the laptop. Battery life is like three hours. Windows 7 is excellent, wasn’t hard to get use to. Burning CDs and DVDs is a plus. Everything about this laptop I love.
Great Machine!

Very please with this laptop. Fast, comfortable keyboard, great video and sound. Very easy to set up from box to being used. New Windows 7 is a nice addition..very intuitive and easy to use.

First two months,I really like it.I’ve been using it for 8 – 12 hours daily. No hot,the 4 hours of battery is right (no full brigth display).Only two months of Norton, these billionaires want to be richer every year.
The image in a LCD TV via HDMI is Amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!.
Replaced a Dell with ths computer
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I replace a Dell laptop and I am very happy with this computer, lot of computing power, much faster booting up and returning form the sleep mode. The only thing I am a little concerned is that the wifi disconectes form the the router but hooks up very quickly on it’s own, I like the way it does up dates and I got one late last week about Internet connections and I think the problem maybe has gotten better.
Over all it is a great computer and windows 7 is working good for me, I changed from XP, missed visa and have had no problems. I see the price has gone uo $200, maybe this is an indication it is good computer and is in demand.

HP Pavilion DV6-1354US
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Bought this for my daughter who had a 5 year old Dell. The Dell kept having prblems with keybord and poor performance. This new laptop has all the horsepower I and she needs and great features. Large capacity drive, RAM and right at hand controls, like volume control and more. Try it you’ll like it.
HP Pavilion Laptop cumputer

This was a replacement for my wife’s Toshiba laptop computer that she donated to our son. She was delighted to have her own computer, especially one that came preprogrammed with the new operating system, Windows7. She is particularly pleased with the speed with which it operates and how easy it was to learn the new operating system. She also uses it as the terminal for one of our two MagicJack home phone systems and it works well with that.
If there are any negatives about the HP dv6-1354US laptop, I don’t know what they are. Neither does she.
Meh! HP

Should have known better than to buy an HP again. HP DVD drives always die. This one just died on mine after only 45 days. Why HP? Why can you not get it together. Just out of warranty. What a coincidence. The keyboard and finger-pad are all glossy now so they get filthy very fast. And glossy keys reflect so much light you can’t even see the letters.
Great Product

I have been using this laptop for about two weeks and so far so good. I work in technology and use a Dell for work but decided to go with a HP for personal use. I have also used IBM and Toshiba laptops.
What I like about this machine is the power/technical specifications for the money. To me it translated as good value.
Pros:
1. Technical specifications are great for my use. Mostly pictures, web browsing, video conferencing via Skype, occasional documents. Haven’t noticed any lag in video/audio with Skype.
2. Webcam works well. Pretty clear and don’t experience delays.
3. Browsing is fast.
4. Machine boot up/shut down is fast!
5. I didn’t think I would care, but I actually like the additional number key pad on the right side. I find myself using it very often.
6. The volume can be adjusted by touch, which is pretty cool.
7. Setting up my wi-fi was easy. Setting up my printer was easy. You plug it in and it automatically looks for the drivers.
8. Creating the recovery disks was easy to do. Just make sure you have 3 DV-R 4.7GB on hand.
Cons:
1. Fingerprints everywhere on the keyboard. Very noticeable. Kind of a pain for the clean freaks out there.
2. Battery power is not the best. However I already knew this going in.
Horrible Customer Service
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Their customer service is terrible. They manufacture faulty laptops and try to evade doing repairs on them. Just search online to see all these issues. We didn’t use the laptop for a good 6 months after we bought it and the mother board was a little faulty. It was a week out of warranty when it completely went out and they want to charge us 75% of the price of a new laptop to replace it. Just look at all the horror stories online. Horrible company that makes faulty products. Don’t buy. Go with a Toshiba, I bought a very cheap one 6 years ago, upgraded the RAM on it and it still runs like a champ.
I haven’t cursed it or said “I hate you” yet.

Well, I tend to whisper mean things and curse my computer on a daily basis, but I haven’t felt the need to do that with this one. It’s quick enough with lots of storage and with a good amount of quality programs already loaded. I like how the computer manages its own health and happiness issues and it regularly reminds me to backup my files. The computer handles the large graphing programs I use with out the long pauses I have experienced previously. My one complaint is the screen shape. It has a short-wide screen. The short is the problem for me; with most programs having large tool bars at the top and or bottom of the screen a short screen creates a smaller workable space, however movies look great on it and the resolution is good even when viewed at angle. I know I could have sprung for the DV7 with the 17.3″ screen rather than the cheaper 15.6″ but the extra screen size added an addition 4 pounds (ouch)!
Pray nothing goes wrong with your hp

1. Bought extended warrranty for $300 and when something went wrong they claim you abused the laptop. If you say you are being treated unfairly, they hang up on you.
2. If you call back to talk to a manager, they say the don’t have managers because they are all equals.
Bought a Sams club extended warranty and they were great. Turn around was 3 days and the person you talked to spoke English as their first language!
